At Whizply, protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our site or uses our platform is one of our top priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies only to whizply.com and the Whizply platform (together, the "Service"), covering the information shared with or collected by us here — it doesn't apply to information collected offline or through any other channel.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

What we ask for depends on how you're using the Service:

• When you join the waitlist or contact us, we collect your name and email address
• When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
• When you log in with Google or LinkedIn instead, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider — never your password for those accounts
• When you use the resume tools, we collect the resume and CV content you upload or paste, including your work history, education, and skills
• When you use referral outreach, we collect the contact details you add or search for within the platform
• When you message us directly, we keep the contents of that message and anything you attach to it

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Operate and maintain the Service — job matching, resume tailoring, referral discovery, and interview prep
• Create, secure, and manage your account
• Understand how people use Whizply, so we can improve it
• Communicate with you about your account, product updates, and your early-access status
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it with anyone beyond what's needed to run the Service — currently that means our hosting providers (Netlify and Render), Google or LinkedIn if you choose to sign in that way, and the specific referral contacts you choose to reach out to through the platform. We may also disclose information if legally required to do so.

Log files

Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically log some technical information when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit. This is standard practice used for keeping the site running smoothly and secure, and isn't linked back to who you are personally.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences. We don't run advertising and don't use third-party tracking or ad-network cookies. You're always free to disable cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Service may not work as expected if you do.

Data retention

We keep your account data and resume content for as long as your account stays active. If you delete your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we're required to hold onto it longer for legal or security reasons.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you're located, you can always reach out to hello@whizply.com to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your personal data
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data
• Ask us to transfer your data to you or another service, where that's technically possible

We'll respond to any request within a month. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we collect and to request its deletion — again, we do not sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children's privacy

Whizply isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your data. That said, no system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection.

International data transfers

Because Whizply serves people around the world, your data may be processed in a country other than the one you live in, including India and wherever our hosting providers operate. We take reasonable steps to keep it protected wherever it's processed.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page from time to time as the Service evolves, and we'll update the date at the top when we do. For any change that meaningfully affects your rights, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know directly.
